Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do with it, and how to ask us to delete it. Plain English, short as we can keep it.
Last updated
This Privacy Policy explains how Fishhook Marketing, a DBA of Business Growth Partners, LLC ("Fishhook," "we," "us," "our"), handles information collected through fishhookmarketing.com and any engagement that flows from it.
The short version
We collect what you give us through forms, what your browser sends when it loads a page, and what a small number of trusted vendors record on our behalf (analytics, payments, scheduling, CRM). We use it to run the site, answer you, do the work you've hired us to do, and improve how we operate. We don't sell your data, ever. You can ask us to delete what we have on you by emailing contact@fishhookmarketing.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Name, email, company, phone (if you provide it), and whatever you type into a contact form, the AI Assessment form, or a discovery-call booking. If you pay for a service, our payment processor handles your card. We don't store full card numbers.
- Technical information your browser sends. IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you came from and the page you're on, and approximate location based on IP. This is standard web-server log data.
- Analytics events. Pages visited, clicks, scroll depth, time on page, and similar signals, collected through Google Analytics 4 (described below).
How we use it
- To respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and run engagements you've hired us for.
- To send the deliverables, invoices, and follow-up communications tied to those engagements.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To comply with our legal obligations and protect against fraud.
Third-party services we use
A small set of vendors process information on our behalf. Each one has its own privacy policy that we recommend you skim:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Anonymized traffic and behavior analytics. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage. Opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
- Stripe. Card processing for paid AI Assessment tiers and any other paid services. Stripe receives your name, email, and payment details. We receive a confirmation but never the raw card number.
- GoHighLevel (scheduling). Our booking widget for discovery calls and the AI Assessment. When you book, GoHighLevel receives your name, email, phone, and chosen time slot to create the appointment.
- CRM and email tools. When you submit a form or become a client, your contact details may be stored in our customer relationship management system (currently HubSpot or GoHighLevel, depending on the engagement) and our email-marketing tool (currently Mailchimp). These vendors hold your data so we can communicate with you about the work.
- Web hosting and infrastructure. Standard server logs (IP, browser, timestamps) are collected by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.
We may change vendors over time. The current vendor list is kept here and updated when we switch.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies for the site to function (load balancing, security tokens, session state). These can't be turned off.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. You can block them through your browser settings, the GA4 opt-out linked above, or browser-level "Do Not Track" / "Global Privacy Control" signals.
We don't run third-party advertising trackers or social-media retargeting pixels at this time. If we add any, we'll update this policy first.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and CRM records are retained for as long as we have an active relationship with you, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting, legal, and business-record purposes (generally seven years for invoicing-related records to satisfy standard U.S. tax retention guidelines). Analytics data is retained per Google's default GA4 settings (currently 14 months).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your records (subject to legal hold and accounting requirements).
- Stop sending you marketing email. Unsubscribe links are in every campaign, and you can email us to be removed from any list.
Email contact@fishhookmarketing.com with the request and we'll respond within a reasonable period, generally within thirty days.
Children
The site isn't intended for, or directed at, children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Outside the U.S.
Fishhook operates from Florida and serves clients primarily in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the site, you consent to that transfer.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy as our tools and practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted; continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
